Rebecca Gahan

Owner & Founder of Kick@55 Fitness

Rebecca received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana in 1997 and spent 10 years in IT Sales for Xerox Corporation and Genesys Conferencing. After gaining between 50-65 pounds through each of her 3 pregnancies, Rebecca designed and created her own unique exercise and nutritional program, which transformed her body post-partum. Rebecca then decided to pursue her true passion, helping women regain their pre-baby bodies, and received her certification as a personal trainer through NASM, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, in 2009. NASM certifications are the most sought-after in the personal training industry, as its systems and methodologies represent the “gold standard” in fitness. The organization’s certifications require the most comprehensive knowledge of human movement science, functional anatomy, physiology and kinesiology. Additionally, Rebecca is certified in Pre/Post Natal, Weight Loss Management, and CPR/AED. Rebecca resides in Chicago with her husband and three children, ages 3, 6 and 10. She enjoys chasing after her 3 very active children, running, traveling, dining out, reading, binge-watching Netflix, girls’ nights out, and eating dessert.

Kiki Smith

Certified Group Fitness Instructor

Kiki’s passion for sports and an active lifestyle dates back as far as she can remember. She was always that kid getting carted from one activity to the next, with outfit changes and snacks en route. She knew she was destined to be an athlete when the tutu looked all wrong and the sports jersey fit like a glove. In high school she focused on field hockey and lacrosse, and learned that her passion for sports was not just about the sport itself but more about the competitive atmosphere and active lifestyle. After graduating college where she continued to play club field hockey and lacrosse, Kiki became a fitness instructor and coach. Starting at Sweat on State, and then coming to Kick@55 in Spring 2015. Through teaching she has come to realize it is not all about how you look it’s more about how you feel; fitness is a journey that we need to work at every day. There is one more thing you should know, Kiki loves burpees, doing them and more importantly making others do them!

Lesley-Ann Brown-Henderson

Certified Group Fitness Instructor

From gymnastics, swimming, figure skating, and soccer, Lesley-Ann Brown-Henderson grew up enjoying being active. After moving to the United States from Montreal at 13, her active lifestyle took a backburner for many years. It wasn’t until she attended the University of Miami where her first job was in the Wellness Center that her love for physical activity was rekindled. During graduate school at Texas A&M University she discovered step aerobics and bootcamp style classes and fell in love. She has been an avid bootcamper for almost 10 years and loves the variety and intensity of these classes. Upon finishing her Ph.D in Counseling Psychology and securing a job at Northwestern University she moved to Chicago and found Kick@55. Her first class with Rebecca was March 8, 2014 and the rest is history. Lesley-Ann loves traveling, shopping, cooking and hanging out with her husband and dog. Her goal is to always make fitness fun while never sacrificing form. She is motivated by the strength, commitment, and kindness of everyone she’s met at Kick@55 and she is honored to be able to support the achievement of active and fit lifestyles.
