Not a shocker! Every year many go in with good intentions, and by February the plans have all but disappeared. Often, we don’t set clear, specific or realistic goals instead we merely state affirmations to “lose weight” or “get healthy.”
 

This year set yourself up for success by declaring S.M.A.R.T goals in other words…

Specificwho, what, where, how and why?
MeasurableHow much? How often? etc..we’re talking numbers here.
AttainableIs my goal within my reach? Will the steps I take help me get there
RealisticCan I commit to doing the work to reach my goals?
Timely – Give yourself a time frame to reach the specific goals.

Attainable: Yes, I can do this by working out and eating healthier.
Realistic: Yes, I know I can commit to 4 workouts per week & simple changes in my diet.
Timely: March 1, 2018 – this is the time frame.


Three months to lose 15 pounds is an attainable, timely frame of time to lose weight and see health benefits in a realistic, sustainable way.
